2026 world robot conference concludes in beijing with 311 new products and 2027 event date announced

The 2026 World Robot Conference, held in Beijing from August 18 to 22, concluded on August 23. The event featured seven main forums and 71 parallel activities, bringing together over 1,000 domestic and international experts. During the conference, 44 new technologies and solutions were unveiled. Key outcomes included the launch of the 'Smart Robot Positive Development Initiative,' the announcement of the 'Top Ten Innovation Achievements and High-Value Application Scenarios' by central enterprises, and the release of the '2026 Humanoid Robot Industry Development Report.' The Chinese Institute of Electronics also established the World Model Expert Committee. Over 10,000 foreign visitors attended the exhibition, with a total of 557,000 participants. Zhang Feng, Secretary of the Standing Committee of the China Electronics Society Council and President of the 100-person Committee on Humanoid Robots and Embodied Intelligence, highlighted the progress of intelligent robots in real-world applications, noting that China's humanoid robot shipments exceeded 40,000 units in the first half of the year, accounting for 97% of the global market. The 2027 World Robot Conference is set to take place on August 18, 2027. Additionally, the 2027 Yizhuang Humanoid Robot Half Marathon, organized by the Beijing Municipal Government, China Media Group, the Chinese Institute of Electronics, and the World Robotics Cooperation Organization, will begin on April 18, 2027, with global registration launching at the conference's closing ceremony.
