Israeli startup 42AI has launched its behavioral world model, a system designed to predict individual actions, and has secured $62.5 million in seed funding. The company is currently deploying its predictive technology at several financial brokerages to forecast how traders might react to market volatility. CEO and co-founder Amit Gal-Or explained that the model aims to measure underlying psychological tendencies rather than just extrapolating from past actions, with CTO Ehud Ezra noting that the model shows the probability of a specific decision. This model analyzes various data points, including sentiment and voice during initial customer interactions like support calls, alongside subsequent trading patterns. The system converts these observations into mathematical traits fed into a transformer-based world model. While 42AI claims 98% accuracy in predicting trading flow ranges and an F1 score of 0.8 to 0.85 for direction and volume, Gal-Or cautioned that the model is limited by the data it can access. After three years of development, which incorporated psychological research, neuroscience, and genetics, the company has expanded its customer datasets to nearly 30 million people. Gal-Or noted that the model operates without needing personally identifiable information, though it still creates individual profiles. Beyond finance, 42AI is exploring applications in gaming and fraud prevention, while also addressing concerns about misuse by pointing to internal ethics committees.
