A $15 billion AI startup revolutionizing healthcare decision-making
Nearly two-thirds of U.S. doctors are utilizing an AI-powered search engine to aid in patient care decisions, driving a Miami-based startup, OpenEvidence, to a $15 billion valuation.
Founded in 2022 by serial entrepreneur Daniel Nadler, the company reported that over 42 million prompts were processed by America’s 1 million physicians in the last month. Doctors use the platform’s chatbot to access medical journals and clinical guidelines for diagnosing and treating patients.
The ad-powered platform has gained traction through word-of-mouth, marking a rare success in the healthcare sector. Nadler, speaking to the FT, described the platform as 'the first viral consumer internet app in healthcare.'
