AI firms, unions and investors unite to push for responsible data center growth

AI companies, private equity firms and labor unions are forming a new coalition to advocate for responsible data center development in seven key states. The American Infrastructure Alliance, a multimillion-dollar group, aims to work with state and local officials to establish standards for data centers in 2027. The coalition plans to launch initial campaigns in Texas, Georgia, Ohio, Iowa, Pennsylvania, Indiana and South Carolina. Tag Greason, co-CEO of QTS, emphasized that "responsible growth requires clear expectations for everyone involved."
