AI startup blueprints AI aims to revolutionize architectural design with ai-generated blueprints
Blueprints AI, founded by Al Drams and Coco Cao, is leveraging AI to generate code-compliant and permit-ready architectural blueprints in minutes. Drams, an architect with a background in digital design, launched the startup in 2025 after the release of ChatGPT in November 2022. The company was selected for the 2026 Startup Battlefield 200, set to showcase at TechCrunch Disrupt in San Francisco from October 13 to 15. Blueprints AI’s second-generation software, set to debut at Disrupt, allows users to create comprehensive blueprints for all building aspects with a single design change that updates the entire project and checks against local codes. Drams emphasized the shift from 80% drafting to 20% design, aiming to improve architectural efficiency. The startup targets professional firms and developers, offering subscription and one-time pricing options.
Drams and Cao trained their models using eight years of approved drawings from Drams’ firm. The first-generation software costs between $3,200 to $8,500 monthly. The second version enables real-time updates across all design elements, with a third version in development for structural analysis and electrical design. Licensed architects still review and seal the documents, ensuring human oversight. The startup is expanding its reach with new software features and targeting both design firms and real estate developers.
