Alibaba's Qwen AI glasses get major ota update with new translation features

On November 1, 2026, Alibaba announced an over-the-air (OTA) update for its Qwen AI glasses, introducing new features such as call translation and media translation, along with enhanced noise resistance. The update allows users to listen to foreign podcasts, attend language classes, and watch foreign films with real-time translation displayed on the Qwen AI Wear App. The Qwen AI Glasses G1 was launched in March 2026, followed by the S1 model, which offers improvements in interaction, display, battery life, and hardware. In October 2026, Alibaba released the Qwen N1 series, featuring replaceable batteries and a Pro version with eye-tracking and 24/7 health monitoring, starting at 2,899 yuan.
