Alipay launches new prize for intelligent agent innovation

Alipay has launched the 'Intelligent Agent Emergence Prize,' a new initiative aimed at fostering innovation in the field of artificial intelligence. The prize will allocate 10 million yuan annually, with the top annual award offering 1 million yuan in cash. The contest is open to participants who do not need to write code, as it allows the use of various VibeCoding platforms like Qmuse to generate agents and submit accessible URLs. The first round of entries will be announced in the fourth quarter of 2027, with winners potentially gaining access to the Alipay ecosystem to serve its 1 billion users. In addition to cash rewards, participants can also submit user-driven ideas, with selected 'golden ideas' receiving 2,000 yuan in cash. The initiative encourages developers to create innovative consumer experiences for businesses and institutions, leveraging AI to enhance service delivery and user engagement.
