On October 23, 2026, Alibaba Cloud announced that its Qoder platform now supports Linux ARM64 and LoongArch64 architectures, including the LoongArch instruction set developed by Loongson. This expansion enables compatibility with UOS and Kylin operating systems, allowing users to work within familiar environments with full access to programming tools and collaborative AI agents. Qoder, an AI-driven coding platform launched globally in August 2025, now supports multiple platforms, including HarmonyOS, UOS V20, and Kylin V10. The release of Qoder 1.0 on May 15, 2026, marked its transition from an AI IDE to an autonomous development workspace. As of August 2026, Qoder has served over 6 million users and 100,000 enterprises worldwide. The move underscores Alibaba's commitment to supporting domestic operating systems and reducing reliance on foreign technology. The update includes support for LoongArch64, which is fully self-developed and independent of foreign licenses. UOS and Kylin are both domestic desktop operating systems, with Kylin V10 already supporting LoongArch64. The expansion of Qoder’s compatibility reflects broader efforts to integrate AI-driven development tools into China’s tech ecosystem, enhancing productivity and innovation across multiple platforms.
