Amazon enhances Alexa with new shopping features for list and subscription management

Amazon has introduced over 100 new shopping-related capabilities to Alexa ahead of the holiday season, enabling users to manage shopping lists, subscriptions, and delivery instructions. The update allows users to create, register, view, and edit shopping lists, as well as adjust subscription delivery schedules and modify delivery addresses or add drop-off details. Users can also inquire about Prime and Audible subscriptions, and address billing or payment issues through Alexa. Amazon has rolled out various AI-driven shopping features this year, including a shopping assistant and product notification tools. The company reported an 8x increase in users of agentic features since the start of 2026, with over 400 million consumers using Alexa for shopping in the past 12 months. The update reflects Amazon's ongoing efforts to integrate AI into its retail ecosystem, enhancing convenience for users. By leveraging Alexa's capabilities, customers can streamline their shopping experiences, from managing subscriptions to updating delivery preferences.
