Ant afu secures top tech honor at world internet conference, marking milestone for health AI

Ant Group's health AI application, Ant Afu, was honored with the Leading Science and Technology Award at the 2026 World Internet Conference, establishing it as the first vertical health AI to receive this accolade. The platform currently serves 150 million users and processes nearly 20 million daily health consultations, positioning it as the world's largest health management AI app. Professor Zhang Ling of Capital Medical University noted that Afu's growth aligns with public health needs and supports the 'Healthy China' strategy. The service, which connects to over 5,000 hospitals and 300,000 doctors, facilitates comprehensive care, including online consultations and insurance payments. Vice President Zhang Junjie of Ant Group stated Afu's goal is to simplify medical access and improve health. Beyond treatment, Afu promotes prevention through partnerships with 18 hardware brands, pioneering an 'AI + hardware + services' model. In June 2026, a weight loss campaign helped 3.7 million users lose over 7 million jin. Furthermore, the platform is built on Ant Group's Bailing large model and has been recognized internationally, including being named one of TIME's 'Best Inventions' of 2026.
