Ant group's bai ling model opens source design tools, leads in ui evaluation

Ant Group's Bai Ling large model has officially opened source for the Ming-Image-0.1-Design series, featuring two 6B parameter models. The Ming-Image-0.1-Design model generates UI, infographics, posters, and full visual designs from text, while the Ming-Image-0.1-Design-Layer model splits creative or design images into editable transparent layers. According to Artificial Analysis, the Ming-Image-0.1-Design model ranked first among open-source models in UI/UX design evaluations with an Elo score of 1082. The model achieved 67.4% layout accuracy, 67.0% complex composition, and 66.7% text rendering. Ant Group noted that the model has clear limitations, particularly in handling complex human actions, continuous steps, and fine shadow effects. The models are available via OpenRouter for two weeks free API access.
