At the 2026 Inclusion· Bund Street Conference on September 11, Ant Group CEO Han Xin Yi stated that the 'ChatGPT moment' for intelligent agents in commerce has arrived. He emphasized that intelligent agents are transitioning from showcasing capabilities to facilitating real transactions, becoming new commercial gateways that understand user needs, connect supply, and drive commerce. Han noted that user behavior has shifted, with people now entrusting intelligent agents to handle real-life needs. He argued that commerce is evolving from standardized products and fixed pages to dynamic, intent-driven interactions. Ant Group's AI Payment General Manager Zhu Lin shared data predicting that natural interaction payments could surpass 50% in five years. Han also outlined three key questions for the industry: how services can be understood and used by agents, whether agents can enable transactions, and who manages authorization, risk, and responsibility. Han announced a 10 million yuan fund for life intelligence agent developers, with annual awards up to 1 million yuan. He concluded that when agents start spending on behalf of users, the commercial ecosystem of intelligent agents will truly flourish.
