The employees have been discussing this plan with industry peers, revealing their intention to build hidden locations for potential evacuation. This idea is not new within the AI community, as early employees recall discussions during company gatherings in the early days of Anthropic about scenarios involving government relocation to secure, isolated military bases. Anthropic's spokesperson stated that the company has over 3,500 employees and that internal discussions on technology are diverse. One internal Slack channel even features a motto: 'Everything will eventually return to calm.'
