Anthropic has launched a one-time free reset feature for Claude users, allowing them to manually reset their weekly usage limits without additional cost. The feature, available until October 22, 2026, enables users to refresh their weekly quota, with the caveat that the reset does not alter the original refresh cycle. Users who have exceeded the 5-hour usage limit will also have that reset. The reset can only be used once per user. The move is believed to be part of Anthropic's strategy to promote its new Opus 5.5 model, encouraging users to experience the updated capabilities and consider subscription services.
