Anthropic launches claude code cloud sessions, offering credit bonuses to pro and max users

Anthropic has officially launched the Claude Code cloud sessions feature, ending its preview phase. This functionality allows users to continue tasks in the cloud after closing their computers, with access from browsers, mobile devices, desktop apps, or terminals. Pro, Max, Team, and Enterprise users can now claim one-time credit bonuses: Pro users receive $100 (approximately 672.3 RMB) and Max users get $250 (around 1,681 RMB). The credits are available until 10:59 PM Pacific Time on October 7 (14:59 Beijing Time on October 8), with validity until 11:59 PM on November 4. The cloud sessions run on Anthropic's managed infrastructure or can be routed to self-hosted environments. Users can start sessions via claude.ai/code, the Claude mobile app's Code tab, desktop app Cloud options, or the terminal using the 'claude --cloud' command. The 'claude --teleport' command allows users to bring cloud sessions back to their local terminals. Cloud sessions support GitHub repository cloning and pull request creation, with automatic fixes for CI failures and review comments. Each session runs in an isolated virtual machine, with network access and Git credentials managed securely. Anthropic also announced a permanent 25% increase in the weekly usage limit for Pro, Max, and Team users starting September 14.
