Anthropic launches enterprise frontier safeguards for enhanced AI security

Anthropic has launched Enterprise Frontier Safeguards (EFS), a new solution designed to enhance AI security for enterprise customers. EFS combines zero data retention (ZDR) with advanced monitoring capabilities to detect misuse. The solution will roll out in phases starting later this fall, with eligible customers receiving ZDR on Fable 5 and Fable 5.1 until EFS is fully available. EFS was developed in collaboration with over 100 customers across various industries, including finance, healthcare, and telecom, as well as cloud partners like AWS, Google Cloud, and Microsoft Azure. The solution supports multiple platforms, including Claude Code, Claude Enterprise, and Amazon Bedrock. It enables customers to store data in their own cloud infrastructure, ensuring control over encryption keys, access policies, and audit logs. Anthropic emphasized that EFS does not involve training on enterprise data and is designed to meet regulatory and compliance standards. The solution includes automated safety monitoring without requiring human review by Anthropic employees. Customers can opt-in to features like customer-owned storage and automated review, which do not affect model behavior or pricing.
