Asana optimizes browser agent with GPT-6.1 sol, cutting costs 76x

Asana has significantly reduced the cost of its browser agent by 76 times using GPT-6.1 Sol, according to a recent study. The optimization, led by Frank Hidalgo, StackAI CTO, resulted in a 5x speed improvement and lower operational costs. The study, which involved 144 runs, compared GPT-6.1 Sol with three other models, showing that the optimized workflow reduced estimated model costs to $0.47 per run, compared to $36.21 previously. The improvements were achieved through enhanced caching, increased text retention, and batched screenshot removal. Asana plans to integrate these testing methods into its platform to help customers evaluate cost, runtime, and answer quality. The findings are available on Asana and StackAI blogs.
