Baidu expands AI office services globally with kukai's 40 million users

On September 21, during Baidu's AI Day event, Baidu Wenku Cloud Drive announced its accelerated expansion of AI office services overseas and its global brand upgrades. The general-purpose AI agent 'Kukai' has surpassed 40 million monthly active users globally for AI office tasks. The overseas platform Oreate AI, launched by Baidu Wenku Cloud Drive last year, was updated to the overseas version of Kukai, 'Kooko,' and has attracted over 10 million users within a year. Kukai, previously known as GenFlow, was introduced by Baidu Wenku Cloud Drive three years ago. Launched in April 2025 with version 1.0, it quickly evolved to version 4.0 within a year and received an independent client in August 2026. The product supports various scenarios including general office work, academic research, financial analysis, legal research, coding, and design creativity, with features such as full-modal content delivery, online AI editing for Office, local and cloud collaboration, and remote control of multiple computers via an app.
