Baidu's qianwen mobile assistant restricts financial app operations

This includes banks, trust services, payment platforms, internet finance, and credit-related sectors. Earlier, on September 14, 2026, the consumer version of Qianwen Mobile Assistant was officially released, accompanied by the Screen Automation Execution Protocol (SAEP), which aims to establish a transparent mechanism for cross-app operations by intelligent agents. On October 14, 2026, Qianwen Mobile Assistant announced that the 30-day public comment period for the SAEP had ended, and third-party app screen automation permissions would be gradually lifted. The company also released a list of apps it will not operate on, including China Construction Bank, China Merchants Bank, and Chongqing Rural Commercial Bank. Qianwen Mobile Assistant stated that apps explicitly marked as non-operational will not be manipulated by intelligent agents. Developers can still submit new rejections at any time, with feedback expected within three business days.
