On September 5, 2026, Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area (BEIDA) announced the launch of its first Token-based computing power loan product, known as 'Yiqi Token (Word Unit) Loan,' which has been granted nearly 2 billion yuan in credit to multiple AI-related companies. This marks the first such initiative in Beijing. The product evaluates credit based on a company's Token consumption and contract value, alongside technical barriers and team strength. Banks including Agricultural Bank, CITIC Bank, and others have participated in the initiative.
Among the first beneficiaries is Guoqiche Zhikong, a company specializing in intelligent driving technology, which received a 300 million yuan credit line from CITIC Bank. Another beneficiary, Shenzhou Guangda, also received a 300 million yuan credit line from Industrial Bank after its Token usage was assessed. The initiative has attracted attention as several banks have introduced similar products this year, including a 10 million yuan loan from Zhangjiagang Rural Commercial Bank in May and a Token loan from Guangdong in August.
