Big xiao robot and sinopec launch first smart retail project in gas station convenience store

On September 21, 2026, Big Xiao Robot announced a strategic partnership with Sinopec Shanghai Sales Company to launch the first full-cycle embodied intelligent robot project in a gas station convenience store. The pilot store, Kunlun Haokè Convenience Store (China Petroleum Zhenheng Branch), is now in trial operation. Customers can place orders via Meituan, which are then processed through Sinopec's digital platform. Big Xiao's robots handle picking, packing, and updating order statuses within a 75 cm aisle and 2-meter-high shelf space. The collaboration covers warehouse management, sorting, restocking, shelving, order picking, and packaging. Big Xiao focuses on robot hardware and world modeling, aiming to integrate embodied intelligence into offline retail operations. The partnership plans to expand the warehouse-store integration model across real retail scenarios, enhancing the efficiency of offline retail through automation and scalability. With over 110,000 gas stations and 100,000 public charging stations nationwide, Sinopec is transitioning these assets into comprehensive energy services and smart retail hubs. Big Xiao aims to extend embodied intelligence beyond retail into logistics, manufacturing, and public services.
