Bitrig, an AI coding platform, has expanded its capabilities to support the development of iPhone Duo applications following Apple's release of Xcode 27.1 Beta 1. The platform now offers an interactive 3D simulator that allows developers to fold, tilt, rotate, and adjust the device's orientation to test app performance in various scenarios. According to 9to5Mac, Bitrig's simulator can read hinge data in real time, enabling developers to test how apps respond during the unfolding process from a closed to an open state. The platform also supports creating creative interaction scenarios using ArrangementView, allowing developers to design layouts for different device positions. Bitrig further helps developers manage multiple Xcode versions, enabling them to prepare iPhone Duo apps with beta versions and switch back to Xcode 27 for existing projects. The platform initially focused on 'vibe coding,' generating native SwiftUI apps through text or voice prompts. It has since expanded to include a Mac version, a complete Xcode toolchain, an integrated iPhone simulator, and real-device testing features. Bitrig also supports exporting projects to Xcode and distributing them via TestFlight and the App Store. Developers can use onHingeChange in SwiftUI to adjust app interactions based on the device's folded state.
