On August 31, 2026, Broadcom announced the launch of VMware AI Factory, a new product designed to streamline AI infrastructure deployment in private cloud environments. The AI Factory serves as a software-defined foundation for VMware's AI private cloud, offering automated features that simplify the AI deployment process for enterprises. The platform enables direct deployment of AI applications into private cloud environments, with VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) playing a central role. VCF's infrastructure automation capabilities significantly reduce deployment time, cutting weeks down to hours. It also aggregates GPU resources across an enterprise, allowing multiple teams to run models on shared hardware without dedicated servers for each AI task. VMware AI Factory supports certified products from Cisco, Dell, Lenovo, and Supermicro, and is compatible with several AI models, including Gemma 4, Cotomi, Qwen 3.7-Max, and GLM 5.2. The platform also includes observability tools to monitor token throughput, latency, and resource utilization, helping enterprises optimize performance.
