Bytedance's volcano engine launches seedance 2.5 4k for enterprise trial

Volcano Engine, a subsidiary of ByteDance, has launched the Seedance 2.5 4K model for enterprise trial, with the first batch of 20 studios and directors receiving the model. The model focuses on high-end film production, offering enhanced detail and more natural character performance. IT Home reported that the 4K version is tailored for commercial delivery standards and is already being used in 20 projects, with one expected to air on a satellite channel by next month. Seedance 2.5 was first introduced at ByteDance's FORCE conference on June 23, 2026, and became available to enterprise clients on July 13. It expanded to developers on July 16 and launched its consumer-facing app on July 31. The model's key improvements include longer video support, up to 30 seconds, and localized editing tools that allow users to modify specific elements without re-rendering entire scenes. The 4K version is designed to meet the demands of high-end film production, with features that support commercial-grade output. The model's release marks a significant step in ByteDance's efforts to expand its AI capabilities in the entertainment industry.
