Ceos unite to safeguard critical infrastructure from AI threats

The Alliance for Critical Infrastructure (ACI), a newly formed coalition of CEOs, has expanded its membership to include dozens of new members. The group aims to enhance preparedness against potential AI-powered attacks on public infrastructure, financial institutions, and essential businesses. Chaired by Jamie Dimon, CEO of JPMorgan Chase, the coalition brings together industry leaders from multiple sectors to address the growing threat of AI disruption. Citi CEO Fraser, a new board member, emphasized the significance of the coalition's broad membership, stating it reflects the gravity of the challenge in an 'incredibly interconnected' world. Gordon Smith, acting CEO of ACI, noted that key employees from member companies are embedded within the coalition to ensure swift and decisive action. The group will focus on disaster prevention and response, while also tackling regulatory, cybersecurity, and self-policing issues related to AI. Smith concluded that ACI's efforts are aimed at being 'as ready as we can be,' highlighting the coalition's commitment to mitigating risks posed by AI technology.
