ChatGPT ads expands to seven new markets in asia
OpenAI has expanded ChatGPT Ads to seven new markets in Southeast Asia and Taiwan, bringing the total number of countries where the service is available to over 60. The rollout includes Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, and Taiwan, following previous launches in Australia, New Zealand, Japan, South Korea, and India. Advertisers can access the platform through OpenAI’s Ads Solutions team, agency partners like dentsu and WPP, and technology partners. Self-service options are also available via Ads Manager.
ChatGPT Ads aims to provide free and low-cost access to the AI tool while maintaining user privacy and trust. Ads are shown only to users on the Free and Go plans, with Pro and Enterprise subscriptions remaining ad-free. OpenAI emphasized that ads are clearly labeled and do not influence ChatGPT’s responses. The service has already reached a $1 billion annualized revenue run rate within 200 days of launch, with tens of thousands of advertisers operating across multiple countries.
OpenAI plans to continue expanding into new markets, introducing new ad formats, optimization tools, and measurement solutions. The company remains focused on broadening AI access, protecting user trust, and supporting businesses in achieving their goals. Interested advertisers can visit ads.openai.com for more information.
