Check point enhances cybersecurity with openai's daybreak technology

Check Point, a leading cybersecurity firm, has integrated OpenAI's Daybreak technology to significantly accelerate its vulnerability research process. According to Jonathan Zanger, Check Point's CTO, the company's previous workflow for vulnerability research took hours, but with Daybreak, it now takes minutes. Daybreak leverages OpenAI's advanced cyber models to analyze vulnerabilities, reason through attack paths, and identify security gaps in code and configurations. Zanger emphasized that the increasing sophistication of cyber threats necessitates faster response times. By using Daybreak, Check Point can swiftly translate new vulnerability intelligence into customer protections. The technology automates parts of the workflow, allowing analysts to focus on developing security signatures and indicators of compromise. Check Point secures over 100,000 organizations through its security products and aims to extend its progress toward more autonomous defenses using Daybreak. The company is also collaborating with OpenAI to develop an Agentic Network Security Orchestration solution. This approach combines continuous monitoring with human approval for critical actions, enabling customers to set security objectives and make informed decisions based on the system's findings and risk assessments.
