During a press conference held by the State Council Information Office, officials from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) announced that nearly 200 key artificial intelligence standards have been successfully developed in China. The MIIT emphasized its commitment to fostering high-quality growth in the information and communication industry, with a focus on accelerating the construction of next-generation communication networks and computing power networks. The ministry also highlighted efforts to promote the widespread adoption of 5G and industrial internet in key sectors, while intensifying research and development for 6G technology. Additionally, the MIIT pledged to enhance network and data security capabilities to maintain China's competitive edge in the global information and communication sector. For the '14th Five-Year Plan' period, China aims to establish national emerging industry development demonstration bases, targeting sectors such as next-generation information technology, new energy, advanced materials, intelligent connected new energy vehicles, robotics, biomedicine, high-end equipment, and aerospace. The plan includes creating a number of leading industrial parks and enterprises by 2035, with the goal of cultivating around 100 demonstration parks that drive cluster development, innovation, and ecosystem optimization, and approximately 1,000 leading enterprises that excel in product development, technological innovation, business model innovation, and operational efficiency.
