Zhongke Tianta has successfully completed in-orbit verification of its 'Huashan' health management module, a large-scale artificial intelligence model designed for satellite maintenance. The module, developed independently by the company, was tested on the 'Chen Guang One' technology test satellite, which launched successfully and completed a full-process on-orbit practical verification of AI capabilities one month later. As of August 12, the system has completed training, evaluation, and prediction tasks for various time series neural networks and envelope algorithms, with the satellite maintaining stable operation and delivering excellent core predictive results. The 'Huashan' model represents an innovative approach to intelligent management in commercial spaceflight, offering core capabilities in telemetry data analysis, anomaly detection, trend prediction, and autonomous decision-making. Unlike traditional satellite maintenance models, which rely on a 'ground training, satellite only inference' architecture, the 'Huashan' module implements a fully autonomous closed-loop process: 'data collection - on-orbit training - risk warning - health assessment.' This allows satellites to autonomously verify telemetry data and perform on-orbit iterative training, reducing the need for raw data to be downlinked and alleviating communication bandwidth pressure between Earth and space. Industry experts highlight that as on-orbit autonomous health management systems mature, satellites are transitioning from 'passive control' to 'active defense,' marking a generational leap in satellite operations. With future mega-constellations expanding to tens of thousands of satellites, this on-orbit autonomous decision-making capability will become crucial for reducing ground control costs and improving fault response efficiency, opening new pathways for the large-scale operation and maintenance of low-Earth orbit mega-constellations. Looking ahead, the research team plans to continue promoting soft-hardware collaboration between communication hardware and on-orbit intelligent algorithms, building a high-speed data channel for Earth-space integration. They will also deeply participate in the construction of the national space computing network, providing domestic satellite autonomous control solutions to support the high-quality development of China's commercial space industry.
