The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology has released a plan to accelerate the integration of artificial intelligence with software development, aiming to transform the sector by 2028 and 2030. By 2028, the plan targets the intelligent upgrading of 2,000 large-scale software firms, with 100 key projects and 100 intelligent application cases in key industries. By 2030, it envisions a global leadership position in software and IT services, with the establishment of influential open-source communities and clusters.
The initiative emphasizes the development of intelligent programming tools, smart software development ecosystems, and the integration of AI into industrial software like CAD and EDA. It also promotes collaboration between software firms and hardware manufacturers to enhance compatibility and performance. Additionally, the plan calls for the creation of 15 adaptation centers and the expansion of open-source projects in areas like quantum computing and brain-inspired computing.
The strategy also outlines the development of intelligent agent software, with a focus on cross-scenario applications and industry-specific solutions. It encourages the creation of open-source platforms, standardized interfaces, and the integration of AI into software development processes to improve security and efficiency.
