China unveils first bionic medical robot developed by ubtech and medtech

On September 3, 2026, UBTech announced the launch of the nation's first bionic medical robot, the Youmai Robot Health and Wellness Edition, in collaboration with MedTech. The robot, available in male and female versions, is designed to provide medical care with a human-like touch. It was first unveiled at UBTech's 2026 Global Technology Conference in June of this year. The robot combines advanced bionic technology with a standardized clinical AI system, addressing key challenges in elderly care, such as the lack of medical expertise and limited human interaction. MedTech's proprietary CGA elderly assessment tool covers 10 core dimensions of chronic disease management, including disease monitoring, medication safety, and pain assessment. UBTech plans to expand the robot's capabilities through continuous data collection, cloud integration, and multi-modal diagnostic features over the next three years. The robot's hardware is based on UBTech's full-sized humanoid robot technology, featuring high-precision facial expressions and multi-joint limbs. It aims to deliver personalized care to elderly patients. MedTech's system supports disease recognition, blood pressure and glucose monitoring, and medication risk alerts. The collaboration seeks to create a digital family healthcare platform, making standardized chronic disease management accessible nationwide.
