China's ministry launches ai-driven anti-fraud strategy in 14th five-year plan
The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology has unveiled the 14th Five-Year Plan for the Information and Communication Industry, emphasizing the implementation of real-name registration for phone users, fraud app management, and the development of an AI-powered anti-fraud system. The plan outlines the creation of a real-name system and security management framework, along with a technical countermeasure system that integrates data-driven risk management and closed-loop handling.
Technical measures include the establishment of industry anti-fraud labs, enhanced smart 'card-cutting' analysis, and the development of an AI-driven anti-fraud technology system. The Ministry will also collaborate with public security, finance, and internet information departments to share fraud-related data and guide industry self-regulation. Additionally, the plan promotes staged handling of fraud apps and safety assessments for emerging businesses.
The Ministry aims to deepen collaborative management of fraud-related accounts and promote a unified anti-fraud publicity framework. These initiatives are part of a broader effort to enhance cybersecurity and protect users from fraudulent activities.
