DeepSeek updates API pricing rules, expands off-peak window for mid-autumn and national day holidays
On September 19, DeepSeek released updated guidelines for API pricing, clarifying that weekends with adjusted workdays and national holidays in China will be billed at off-peak rates. This includes September 20 (Sunday with adjusted workday), October 10 (Saturday with adjusted workday), and the Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day holidays.
According to DeepSeek's pricing mechanism, peak hours on weekdays are twice as expensive as off-peak hours, while weekends are uniformly billed at off-peak rates. The updated policy confirms that any weekend, including adjusted workdays, will be charged at off-peak rates.
From September 20 to October 10, DeepSeek will offer more than ten days of off-peak pricing, including three days of the Mid-Autumn Festival, seven days of National Day, and two adjusted weekend days.
DeepSeek's V4.1 Flash model, launched on September 10, also improves cost-effectiveness with a 552B parameter MoE architecture, outperforming its flagship V4Pro model in benchmark tests while being priced at the Flash tier.
During off-peak hours, the input cache hit rate for V4.1 Flash is 0.02 yuan per million Tokens, and the output is 4 yuan per million Tokens.
