Dextr AI, a San Francisco-based startup, has raised $6.7 million in seed funding to develop AI agents that streamline hotel operations. Founded in July 2025 by Sajid Shariff and Scott Arnold, the company is emerging from stealth mode with support from Elevation Capital and Foundation Capital. The funding marks Dextr’s first institutional round, enabling the expansion of its AI tools for reservations, guest requests, and staff coordination. Shariff highlighted that its agents, such as Daisy and Alfred, have already generated significant revenue for hotels, with one large property reporting $100,000 to $300,000 in monthly bookings through voice agents. Dextr’s agents are designed to integrate across hotel systems, allowing for seamless communication between guest management, operations, and staff scheduling. The startup also offers a companion tool, Doss, which enables employees to interact with agents via text or voice without complex training. With over 1 million monthly interactions across hundreds of properties, Dextr serves hotels ranging from 21 to 550 rooms, including properties under major brands like Hilton and Wyndham. Krishna Mehra of Elevation Capital praised Dextr’s early traction, noting its ability to scale without raising capital and deliver a clear return on investment.
