Doupu launches personal assistant product: internal testing started in april

A source close to the matter revealed that Doupu has been advancing plans for a personal assistant product. Internal testing of the project, codenamed 'Spell,' began in April 2026 and was led by the Doupu mobile assistant team. The project, however, remained undisclosed due to the release of the Doupu phone. The source noted that the Spell project is now being integrated with Doupu's dialogue team to develop a new standalone application. The project is seen as an extension of the personal assistant capabilities developed for the Doupu mobile assistant, which was first showcased in a technical preview in December 2025 and officially launched in September 2026 on the Nubia NaviX Ultra.
