While xAI could have bought the domain for standard reasons, such as capturing mistyped searches, the internet’s theory leans toward a prank, given the timing of the acquisition. An anonymous X user, @birdabo, first noticed the domain in a now-viral post. The domain 'dots.com,' a more direct match for the product name, is owned by a defunct company, fueling further speculation about a potential revenge prank. xAI does not own 'bot.com' or other similar typo domains.
