Financial platforms restrict access to AI models like Muse
Several U.S. financial platforms, including Charles Schwab, JPMorgan Chase, and Bank of America, have restricted access to AI models such as Meta's Muse. Charles Schwab's CEO, Rick Wasserman, stated that the company blocks multiple AI models weekly and regularly receives reports on these actions.
Schwab allows external models to query account balances and research data but prohibits them from executing financial transactions. The decision stems from unclear liability in case of errors, as both banks and customers cannot control third-party AI models.
JPMorgan Chase's CEO Jamie Dimon also mentioned that the bank does not permit any third-party AI to access its systems, while Bank of America has similar restrictions.
Other companies, such as Delta Airlines and Yelp, are also distancing themselves from AI models, with Amazon previously accusing Muse of violating its rules. xAI's Grok and OpenAI's Dots also face operational issues on Amazon.
