Google cloud launches government-focused Gemini for U.S. agencies
Google Cloud has launched a government-specific version of Gemini, designed for U.S. federal and state agencies. The product, developed in collaboration with the Missouri government and the U.S.
Department of Health and Human Services, is based on the Gemini Agent and includes five key components: Skills for legal and operational training, connectors for existing systems, partner-developed agents, a governance control platform, and a partner ecosystem.
The solution supports access to Oracle ERP and HR systems, Microsoft 365, and Google Workspace without requiring data migration. Google emphasized that the service meets the highest FedRAMP certification standards, ensuring data remains within U.S. borders in a private cloud environment.
The product is intended to provide secure, compliant access to critical systems for government agencies.
