Google introduces unified gemini AI agent for work tasks

Google has unveiled a new Gemini AI agent designed to streamline work tasks across multiple platforms. The tool, introduced during the Gemini at Work event on October 6, 2026, will be accessible via the Gemini Enterprise app, enabling users to interact with the AI agent through a single interface. The agent will integrate seamlessly with Workspace apps such as Gmail, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Calendar, and others, allowing for direct task execution within these applications. Users can also engage with the AI agent from mobile devices, desktops, web browsers, and third-party platforms like Slack and Microsoft 365.
