Google, through its parent company Alphabet, has launched Gemini 4 Argon, positioning it as its most powerful AI model to date. The model is designed for complex tasks such as cybersecurity, coding, and visual analysis. It is being rolled out to a select group of cybersecurity partners via the Fairwind Program, with the ability to autonomously identify, validate, and patch critical software vulnerabilities. Google claims its staff are already using Argon for daily tasks, including debugging and code migrations. The model also excels at parsing visuals, including long videos and charts. Argon outperforms competitors like OpenAI’s GPT-6 Astra and Anthropic’s Fable and Opus models, according to Google, which cites Vals as evidence of its leadership in AI benchmarks. Alphabet has recently gained traction with Gemini, with its app surpassing a billion monthly users in August, matching OpenAI’s recent milestone with ChatGPT.
