Hangzhou-based startup Ge Wutongzhi, focused on embodied intelligence for industrial applications, has secured nearly 100 million yuan in angel funding. The round, announced on October 18, includes investments from state-owned entities such as Hongfu Asset, Pikai Investment, Hangzhou Capital, Hangzhou Talent Group, a provincial embodied industry investment fund, and several top-listed companies. The funding will support large-scale pre-training of physical world models, hardware development, talent recruitment, and PoC validation across multiple industries. Founded in 2026, Ge Wutongzhi aims to develop self-evolving dexterous manipulation intelligence for real-world scenarios. CEO Cai Jia, a Ph.D. graduate from Northwestern Polytechnical University, previously worked at Huawei’s 2012 Lab and Car BU 2030 Lab, contributing to ADS 2.0 to 4.0 development and ADS6.0 research. The company is collaborating with clients in textile, optical modules, and automotive parts to deliver its first PoC by year-end 2026.
