Honor announced on its official social media account that its self-developed humanoid robot, 'Lightning,' has broken five human world records. The achievement was made during the second World Humanoid Robot Athletics Championship, where the robot competed in the 400-meter race for large groups. 'Lightning' finished the race in 40.6 seconds, surpassing the previous human world record. The robot stands at 169 cm tall with an effective leg length of 0.95 meters. It is equipped with Honor's self-developed integrated joint module, capable of reaching a peak torque of 400 Newton-meters, and features a self-developed liquid cooling system. Honor's robotics research team was established approximately one year ago and has over 200 members. The team's work spans across full-stack self-research in hardware, algorithms, and complete machines. Honor CEO Li Jian stated that the company will focus on the consumer market, with plans to deeply develop applications in commercial, industrial, and domestic settings.
