HPE secures first AMD helios AI rack order worth $1.2 billion

HPE has secured its first order for AMD's Helios AI rack system, valued at $1.2 billion, according to IT Home. The order, worth approximately 80.57 billion yuan at current exchange rates, was placed by Vultr, a private cloud infrastructure company. Vultr is a partner of Juniper Networks, and this relationship continues after HPE acquired Juniper. HPE also supplies Vultr with AI rack systems based on NVIDIA's solutions. The AMD Helios system from HPE integrates six Juniper Networking QFX5252 scalable Ethernet switch racks per rack, connecting all 72 Instinct MI455X GPU accelerators through high-bandwidth, low-latency Ethernet. This setup highlights HPE's integration of AMD and Juniper technologies to deliver advanced AI infrastructure solutions.
