Huawei's xiaoyi app receives invitational upgrade with new work feature

The update, which requires a SMS confirmation to install, is available from September 21 to September 30, 2026. Users noted that the new version introduces Xiaoyi Work and removes the Xiaoyi Claw feature. According to previous reports, Huawei began internal testing of Xiaoyi Work in September 2026. Xiaoyi Work is designed as an AI assistant for daily office tasks, coding, and creative work, supporting HarmonyOS phones, tablets, and computers. It can receive user goals, break down tasks, and execute them using available tools, with progress tracking and user review at key stages.
