Hugging face's microduck robot surpasses $2.6 million in 24 hours
Hugging Face's Microduck, a 10-inch AI-powered robot duck, surpassed $2.6 million in sales within its first 24 hours of launch on August 26, 2026. The product, priced at $399, was launched by Pollen Robotics, acquired by Hugging Face in 2025.
By the end of the first day, the total sales exceeded $2.6 million, with over $1 million in pre-orders within six hours. Pollen Robotics plans to start deliveries by Christmas but warned that new orders may take 4 to 6 months to arrive. Thomas Wolf, co-founder of Hugging Face, shared the sales figures on X.
The robot, which can walk, sit, stand, and pick up objects, is designed for developers and robotics enthusiasts. It also supports programming and features hardware like cameras and LiDAR. Hugging Face CEO Clément Delangue demonstrated a custom gymnastics routine trained by users.
Meanwhile, NVIDIA is in talks to acquire Hugging Face, potentially valuing the company at over $130 billion.
