Hy4 preview upgrade enhances efficiency and reduces token usage

On September 7, Tencent HuanYuan and WorkBuddy announced the release of the Hy4 Preview Model Upgrade. The update addresses user concerns about prolonged task processing and excessive self-verification through targeted optimizations. These improvements, validated by Bench metrics and manual evaluations, have significantly reduced task rounds and token consumption without compromising performance. The Hy4 Preview model, launched on August 28, features 770B total parameters and 49B activated parameters, with a context length exceeding 1M. It is optimized for Agent, Coding, and productivity applications. A lightweight version was also introduced on September 1, reducing model size from 1.5TB to approximately 214GB, making local deployment more accessible. According to OpenRouter data from September 7, Hy4 Preview led globally in token usage, reaching 14.7 trillion tokens with a 379% month-over-month increase.
