Instinct and Meta’s muse launch call features in AI assistant race
Instinct and Meta’s Muse have both introduced call capabilities, enhancing their AI assistant offerings in a competitive market. Instinct, based in San Francisco, added the Instinct Concierge feature, allowing users to book restaurants without online reservations, access dental cancellation lists, and resolve cable issues. The feature is in early access, with plans for broader rollout. Meta’s Muse also gained the ability to make calls to U.S. businesses, prioritizing users who requested the feature first.
Both companies have seen significant traction, with Instinct raising $350 million at a $2.5 billion valuation last month and reportedly in talks for a $10 billion valuation. Muse outperformed Meta’s AI app in its first few days, securing over 730,000 U.S. downloads. These updates bring them into parity with rivals like Wajo, Town, and Ollie, which had previously touted call features as a competitive edge.
