Jd cloud and moor threads plan 100,000 GPU AI factory

At the 2026 JD Global Technology Explorer Conference on September 9, Cao Peng, chairman of JD Group's Technology Committee and CEO of JD Cloud, announced the company's latest progress in AI infrastructure, including computing power, data, and models. JD Cloud has already built a domestic 10,000 GPU cluster with partners like Moor Threads and is planning to construct a 100,000 GPU cluster. In the model domain, JD has developed the JoyAI foundational model matrix, covering multimodal, world, and embodied models. Zhang Jianzhong, founder and CEO of Moor Threads, stated that the 100,000 GPU AI factory will not only train large models and produce tokens but also enable the training of intelligent agents. He emphasized the factory's potential to serve all industry professionals and help JD build the world's largest physical world operations center. The initiative aims to drive a new transformation in embodied intelligence and support JD's broader AI ambitions. The collaboration between JD Cloud and Moor Threads highlights the growing importance of AI infrastructure in shaping future technological advancements.
