At the JD Global Technology Explorers Conference on September 9, 2026, Cao Peng, Chairman of JD Group's Technology Committee and President of JD Cloud, announced the launch of the 'JD Physical AI Acceleration Plan.' He emphasized that the focus of AI competition is shifting toward computing power, data, and scenarios, with physical AI moving from single-point competition to system-level competition. Cao highlighted that JD's AI strategy is rooted in real-world applications across its supply chain, including warehouses, delivery stations, and the entire logistics process. The initiative targets six key areas: data, machines, manufacturing, sales, logistics, and services. JD aims to establish the world's largest physical data training center, robot manufacturing base, and retail channel for robots. By 2028, JD plans to invest over 100 billion yuan to help 100 brands achieve over 10 billion yuan in sales. In logistics, JD aims to deploy over 300,000 robots, 100,000 unmanned vehicles, and 100,000 drones within five years.
