Jiangxi launches first token factory to boost AI development

Jiangxi Province has officially launched its first Token factory in Nanchang High-tech Industrial Development Zone, marking a significant step in advancing artificial intelligence infrastructure. The project, a collaboration between Nanchang Gaoxin Investment Group and China Mobile Communications Group Jiangxi Co., Ltd., aims to provide efficient and low-cost computing power for large model training and inference. It has already aggregated over 300 mainstream large models and supports industry-specific models in sectors like manufacturing, healthcare, and education. Liu Yongqiang, a member of the Party Working Committee and vice director of the Nanchang High-tech Industrial Development Zone Management Committee, highlighted the Token factory's role in addressing challenges faced by local tech enterprises. Chen Baihua, secretary of the Party Committee and general manager of Nanchang Mobile, noted the project's "policy-driven guidance plus market-oriented operation" model, which reduces barriers for enterprises to access computing power and large models. Fu Kang, deputy executive chairman of the Jiangxi Computer Society, emphasized the Token factory's potential to bridge the gap between computing resources and industrial productivity. The project plans to expand its impact across Jiangxi by integrating with the province's computing power scheduling system and promoting province-wide accessibility.
